Welcome to the Lavender Federation Trail, a linear walking trail currently 264 kilometres through diverse countryside traversing the eastern flanks of the Mt Lofty Ranges. The trail begins at Murray Bridge and takes a serpentine course to Eudunda on the north of the Famous Barossa Valley and South of the Clare Valley and Burra Tourism districts.
Since 2016 the trail has moved ahead in leaps and bounds and we are proud to say for the first time in the trail’s history, we were able to open a second section in the same year. First being the section from Eudunda to Webb Gap (in the remote Tothill Ranges to the North of Eudunda, East of Waterloo and West of Robertstown) was officially opened on the 17th April 2016 with some 200 people attending. The second and newest section is from Webb Gap and Waterloo to Manoora and was officially opened on the 23rd October 2016.
Overall, so far with loop and spur trails a total of 352 km have now been completed. Only the trail from Manoora to Clare to go!!!
A series of spur and loop tracks connect the main trail to nearby towns and access points have also been developed.
